Dynamic viscosity
Convert poise (P) to centipoise (cP). Dynamic viscosity is a fluid's resistance to shear — the property that sets the Reynolds number and the friction factor.
1 P = 100 cP
To convert poise to centipoise, multiply the P value by 100. To go the other way, divide by 100 (or multiply by 0.01).

Liquid viscosities are usually quoted in centipoise (cP); water is about 1 cP at room temperature.
One centipoise equals exactly one millipascal-second, the convenient bridge between the cgs and SI conventions.
Worked example. A dynamic viscosity of 0.01 P is 1 cP.
Multiply the value in P by 100 to get cP. For example, 10 P = 1000 cP.
1 P equals 100 cP.
