Dynamic viscosity
Convert centipoise (cP) to poise (P). Dynamic viscosity is a fluid's resistance to shear — the property that sets the Reynolds number and the friction factor.
1 cP = 0.01 P
To convert centipoise to poise, multiply the cP value by 0.01. To go the other way, divide by 0.01 (or multiply by 100).

Liquid viscosities are usually quoted in centipoise (cP); water is about 1 cP at room temperature.
One centipoise equals exactly one millipascal-second, the convenient bridge between the cgs and SI conventions.
Worked example. A dynamic viscosity of 1 cP is 0.01 P.
Multiply the value in cP by 0.01 to get P. For example, 10 cP = 0.1 P.
