Volumetric flow
Convert US gallon per hour (US gph) to litre per hour (L/h). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 US gph = 3.785412 L/h
To convert US gallon per hour to litre per hour, multiply the US gph value by 3.785412. To go the other way, divide by 3.785412 (or multiply by 0.264172).
| US gph | L/h |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3.785412 |
| 2 | 7.570824 |
| 5 | 18.92706 |
| 10 | 37.85412 |
| 25 | 94.6353 |
| 50 | 189.2706 |
| 100 | 378.5412 |
| 250 | 946.353 |
| 500 | 1892.706 |
| 1000 | 3785.412 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 951019.4 US gph is 3600000 L/h.
Multiply the value in US gph by 3.785412 to get L/h. For example, 10 US gph = 37.85412 L/h.
1 US gph equals 3.785412 L/h.
