Volumetric flow
Convert litre per hour (L/h) to US gallon per hour (US gph). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 L/h = 0.264172 US gph
To convert litre per hour to US gallon per hour, multiply the L/h value by 0.264172. To go the other way, divide by 0.264172 (or multiply by 3.785412).
| L/h | US gph |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.264172 |
| 2 | 0.5283441 |
| 5 | 1.32086 |
| 10 | 2.64172 |
| 25 | 6.604301 |
| 50 | 13.2086 |
| 100 | 26.4172 |
| 250 | 66.04301 |
| 500 | 132.086 |
| 1000 | 264.172 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 3600000 L/h is 951019.4 US gph.
Multiply the value in L/h by 0.264172 to get US gph. For example, 10 L/h = 2.64172 US gph.
1 L/h equals 0.264172 US gph.
