Volume
Convert millilitre (mL) to litre (L). Volume sizes tanks, vessels, and batch charges, in m³, litres, US gallons, or barrels.
1 mL = 0.001 L
To convert millilitre to litre, multiply the mL value by 0.001. To go the other way, divide by 0.001 (or multiply by 1000).
| mL | L |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.001 |
| 2 | 0.002 |
| 5 | 0.005 |
| 10 | 0.01 |
| 25 | 0.025 |
| 50 | 0.05 |
| 100 | 0.1 |
| 250 | 0.25 |
| 500 | 0.5 |
| 1000 | 1 |
Tank and vessel capacities are quoted in m³ or US gallons; oil volumes in barrels.
A US gallon and an Imperial gallon differ by about 20 % — confirm which one a spec means.
Worked example. A volume of 1e+7 mL is 10000 L.
Multiply the value in mL by 0.001 to get L. For example, 10 mL = 0.01 L.
1 mL equals 0.001 L.
