Volumetric flow
Convert cubic metre per hour (m³/h) to US gallon per minute (US gpm). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 m³/h = 4.402868 US gpm
To convert cubic metre per hour to US gallon per minute, multiply the m³/h value by 4.402868. To go the other way, divide by 4.402868 (or multiply by 0.2271247).
| m³/h | US gpm |
|---|---|
| 1 | 4.402868 |
| 2 | 8.805735 |
| 5 | 22.01434 |
| 10 | 44.02868 |
| 25 | 110.0717 |
| 50 | 220.1434 |
| 100 | 440.2868 |
| 250 | 1100.717 |
| 500 | 2201.434 |
| 1000 | 4402.868 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 3600 m³/h is 15850.32 US gpm.
Multiply the value in m³/h by 4.402868 to get US gpm. For example, 10 m³/h = 44.02868 US gpm.
1 m³/h equals 4.402868 US gpm.
