Volumetric flow
Convert cubic metre per hour (m³/h) to cubic foot per minute (ft³/min). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 m³/h = 0.5885778 ft³/min
To convert cubic metre per hour to cubic foot per minute, multiply the m³/h value by 0.5885778. To go the other way, divide by 0.5885778 (or multiply by 1.699011).
| m³/h | ft³/min |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.5885778 |
| 2 | 1.177156 |
| 5 | 2.942889 |
| 10 | 5.885778 |
| 25 | 14.71444 |
| 50 | 29.42889 |
| 100 | 58.85778 |
| 250 | 147.1444 |
| 500 | 294.2889 |
| 1000 | 588.5778 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 3600 m³/h is 2118.88 ft³/min.
Multiply the value in m³/h by 0.5885778 to get ft³/min. For example, 10 m³/h = 5.885778 ft³/min.
1 m³/h equals 0.5885778 ft³/min.
