Volumetric flow
Convert cubic foot per minute (ft³/min) to cubic metre per hour (m³/h). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 ft³/min = 1.699011 m³/h
To convert cubic foot per minute to cubic metre per hour, multiply the ft³/min value by 1.699011. To go the other way, divide by 1.699011 (or multiply by 0.5885778).
| ft³/min | m³/h |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1.699011 |
| 2 | 3.398022 |
| 5 | 8.495054 |
| 10 | 16.99011 |
| 25 | 42.47527 |
| 50 | 84.95054 |
| 100 | 169.9011 |
| 250 | 424.7527 |
| 500 | 849.5054 |
| 1000 | 1699.011 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 2118.88 ft³/min is 3600 m³/h.
Multiply the value in ft³/min by 1.699011 to get m³/h. For example, 10 ft³/min = 16.99011 m³/h.
1 ft³/min equals 1.699011 m³/h.
