Volumetric flow
Convert litre per minute (L/min) to oil barrel per day (bbl/day). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 L/min = 9.057328 bbl/day
To convert litre per minute to oil barrel per day, multiply the L/min value by 9.057328. To go the other way, divide by 9.057328 (or multiply by 0.1104078).
| L/min | bbl/day |
|---|---|
| 1 | 9.057328 |
| 2 | 18.11466 |
| 5 | 45.28664 |
| 10 | 90.57328 |
| 25 | 226.4332 |
| 50 | 452.8664 |
| 100 | 905.7328 |
| 250 | 2264.332 |
| 500 | 4528.664 |
| 1000 | 9057.328 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 60000 L/min is 543439.7 bbl/day.
Multiply the value in L/min by 9.057328 to get bbl/day. For example, 10 L/min = 90.57328 bbl/day.
1 L/min equals 9.057328 bbl/day.
