Volumetric flow
Convert cubic foot per second (ft³/s) to cubic metre per hour (m³/h). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 ft³/s = 101.9406 m³/h
To convert cubic foot per second to cubic metre per hour, multiply the ft³/s value by 101.9406. To go the other way, divide by 101.9406 (or multiply by 0.00980963).
| ft³/s | m³/h |
|---|---|
| 1 | 101.9406 |
| 2 | 203.8813 |
| 5 | 509.7032 |
| 10 | 1019.406 |
| 25 | 2548.516 |
| 50 | 5097.032 |
| 100 | 10194.06 |
| 250 | 25485.16 |
| 500 | 50970.32 |
| 1000 | 101940.6 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 35.31467 ft³/s is 3600 m³/h.
Multiply the value in ft³/s by 101.9406 to get m³/h. For example, 10 ft³/s = 1019.406 m³/h.
1 ft³/s equals 101.9406 m³/h.
