Volumetric flow
Convert US gallon per hour (US gph) to litre per minute (L/min). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 US gph = 0.0630902 L/min
To convert US gallon per hour to litre per minute, multiply the US gph value by 0.0630902. To go the other way, divide by 0.0630902 (or multiply by 15.85032).
| US gph | L/min |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.0630902 |
| 2 | 0.1261804 |
| 5 | 0.315451 |
| 10 | 0.630902 |
| 25 | 1.577255 |
| 50 | 3.15451 |
| 100 | 6.30902 |
| 250 | 15.77255 |
| 500 | 31.5451 |
| 1000 | 63.0902 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 951019.4 US gph is 60000 L/min.
Multiply the value in US gph by 0.0630902 to get L/min. For example, 10 US gph = 0.630902 L/min.
1 US gph equals 0.0630902 L/min.
