Volumetric flow
Convert cubic metre per second (m³/s) to litre per second (L/s). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 m³/s = 1000 L/s
To convert cubic metre per second to litre per second, multiply the m³/s value by 1000. To go the other way, divide by 1000 (or multiply by 0.001).

Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 1 m³/s is 1000 L/s.
Multiply the value in m³/s by 1000 to get L/s. For example, 10 m³/s = 10000 L/s.
1 m³/s equals 1000 L/s.
