Volumetric flow
Convert cubic metre per hour (m³/h) to litre per minute (L/min). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 m³/h = 16.66667 L/min
To convert cubic metre per hour to litre per minute, multiply the m³/h value by 16.66667. To go the other way, divide by 16.66667 (or multiply by 0.06).
| m³/h | L/min |
|---|---|
| 1 | 16.66667 |
| 2 | 33.33333 |
| 5 | 83.33333 |
| 10 | 166.6667 |
| 25 | 416.6667 |
| 50 | 833.3333 |
| 100 | 1666.667 |
| 250 | 4166.667 |
| 500 | 8333.333 |
| 1000 | 16666.67 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 3600 m³/h is 60000 L/min.
Multiply the value in m³/h by 16.66667 to get L/min. For example, 10 m³/h = 166.6667 L/min.
1 m³/h equals 16.66667 L/min.
