Area
Convert square metre (m²) to square centimetre (cm²). Area sets heat-transfer surface, flow cross-sections, and footprints, in m² or ft².
1 m² = 10000 cm²
To convert square metre to square centimetre, multiply the m² value by 10000. To go the other way, divide by 10000 (or multiply by 0.0001).
| m² | cm² |
|---|---|
| 1 | 10000 |
| 2 | 20000 |
| 5 | 50000 |
| 10 | 100000 |
| 25 | 250000 |
| 50 | 500000 |
| 100 | 1000000 |
| 250 | 2500000 |
| 500 | 5000000 |
| 1000 | 1e+7 |
Exchanger surface is quoted in m² or ft²; orifice and nozzle areas in mm² or in².
Flow area scales with the square of diameter, so doubling a pipe's bore quadruples its area.
Worked example. A area of 10 m² is 100000 cm².
Multiply the value in m² by 10000 to get cm². For example, 10 m² = 100000 cm².
1 m² equals 10000 cm².
