Area
Convert square centimetre (cm²) to square metre (m²). Area sets heat-transfer surface, flow cross-sections, and footprints, in m² or ft².
1 cm² = 0.0001 m²
To convert square centimetre to square metre, multiply the cm² value by 0.0001. To go the other way, divide by 0.0001 (or multiply by 10000).
| cm² | m² |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.0001 |
| 2 | 0.0002 |
| 5 | 0.0005 |
| 10 | 0.001 |
| 25 | 0.0025 |
| 50 | 0.005 |
| 100 | 0.01 |
| 250 | 0.025 |
| 500 | 0.05 |
| 1000 | 0.1 |
Exchanger surface is quoted in m² or ft²; orifice and nozzle areas in mm² or in².
Flow area scales with the square of diameter, so doubling a pipe's bore quadruples its area.
Worked example. A area of 100000 cm² is 10 m².
Multiply the value in cm² by 0.0001 to get m². For example, 10 cm² = 0.001 m².
1 cm² equals 0.0001 m².
