Power
Convert kilowatt (kW) to megawatt (MW). Power is energy per unit time — the rating of pumps, compressors, motors, and heat duties.
1 kW = 0.001 MW
To convert kilowatt to megawatt, multiply the kW value by 0.001. To go the other way, divide by 0.001 (or multiply by 1000).

Rotating-equipment duties are quoted in kW or hp; heat duties in kW, MW, or BTU/hr.
Electrical input, shaft power, and hydraulic power differ by the efficiencies between them — label which one a number refers to.
Worked example. A power of 100 kW is 0.1 MW.
Multiply the value in kW by 0.001 to get MW. For example, 10 kW = 0.01 MW.
1 kW equals 0.001 MW.
