Power
Convert kilowatt (kW) to mechanical horsepower (hp). Power is energy per unit time — the rating of pumps, compressors, motors, and heat duties.
1 kW = 1.341022 hp
To convert kilowatt to mechanical horsepower, multiply the kW value by 1.341022. To go the other way, divide by 1.341022 (or multiply by 0.7456999).

Electrical input, shaft power, and hydraulic power differ by the efficiencies between them — label which one a number refers to.
Worked example. A power of 100 kW is 134.1022 hp.
Multiply the value in kW by 1.341022 to get hp. For example, 10 kW = 13.41022 hp.
