Mass flow
Convert gram per second (g/s) to kilogram per hour (kg/h). Mass flow rate is the mass passing a point per unit time — the conserved quantity in a material balance, independent of temperature and pressure.
1 g/s = 3.6 kg/h
To convert gram per second to kilogram per hour, multiply the g/s value by 3.6. To go the other way, divide by 3.6 (or multiply by 0.2777778).

Material and energy balances are written on a mass basis, so plant flows convert between kg/h, t/h, and lb/h constantly.
Relief loads and heat duties depend on mass flow, not volumetric flow — keep the two straight when a stream's density changes.
Worked example. A mass flow rate of 2777.778 g/s is 10000 kg/h.
Multiply the value in g/s by 3.6 to get kg/h. For example, 10 g/s = 36 kg/h.
1 g/s equals 3.6 kg/h.
