Volumetric flow
Convert oil barrel per day (bbl/day) to cubic metre per hour (m³/h). Volumetric flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point per unit time — the basis for line sizing, pump duty, and instrument ranging.
1 bbl/day = 0.006624471 m³/h
To convert oil barrel per day to cubic metre per hour, multiply the bbl/day value by 0.006624471. To go the other way, divide by 0.006624471 (or multiply by 150.9555).
| bbl/day | m³/h |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.006624471 |
| 2 | 0.01324894 |
| 5 | 0.03312235 |
| 10 | 0.06624471 |
| 25 | 0.1656118 |
| 50 | 0.3312235 |
| 100 | 0.6624471 |
| 250 | 1.656118 |
| 500 | 3.312235 |
| 1000 | 6.624471 |
Pump and line duties are quoted in m³/h or US gpm; instrument and utility flows often in L/min or ft³/s.
Volumetric flow depends on temperature and pressure for gases — convert on the same basis (actual vs standard) to avoid errors.
Worked example. A flow rate of 543439.7 bbl/day is 3600 m³/h.
Multiply the value in bbl/day by 0.006624471 to get m³/h. For example, 10 bbl/day = 0.06624471 m³/h.
1 bbl/day equals 0.006624471 m³/h.
