Convert kilojoule (kJ) to watt-hour (Wh). Energy is the capacity to do work or transfer heat — the currency of every heat and material balance.
1 kJ = 0.2777778 Wh
To convert kilojoule to watt-hour, multiply the kJ value by 0.2777778. To go the other way, divide by 0.2777778 (or multiply by 3.6).

A calorie, a BTU, and a joule are all energy — keep the conversion factors handy when a spec mixes them.
Worked example. A energy of 3600 kJ is 1000 Wh.
Multiply the value in kJ by 0.2777778 to get Wh. For example, 10 kJ = 2.777778 Wh.
