Velocity
Convert foot per minute (ft/min) to metre per second (m/s). Velocity is distance per unit time — the line-sizing quantity that flags erosion, noise, and pressure drop.
1 ft/min = 0.00508 m/s
To convert foot per minute to metre per second, multiply the ft/min value by 0.00508. To go the other way, divide by 0.00508 (or multiply by 196.8504).
