Energy
Convert British thermal unit (BTU) to therm (therm). Energy is the capacity to do work or transfer heat — the currency of every heat and material balance.
1 BTU = 1e-5 therm
To convert British thermal unit to therm, multiply the BTU value by 1e-5. To go the other way, divide by 1e-5 (or multiply by 100000).

A calorie, a BTU, and a joule are all energy — keep the conversion factors handy when a spec mixes them.
Worked example. A energy of 3412.142 BTU is 0.03412142 therm.
Multiply the value in BTU by 1e-5 to get therm. For example, 10 BTU = 1e-4 therm.
